Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Decatur, AL. The LPN will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and support residents/patients under the supervision of an RN or physician. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients/residents.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions.
- Report any changes in patient status to the supervising RN or provider.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures.
- Support patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR/system.
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and HIPAA.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in the state of Alabama (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care, hospital, rehab, or clinic preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
