Job Title: Medicaid Enrollment Specialist

Location: 302 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
Start Date: 10/06/2025
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension or state hire)
Pay Rate: $20/hour on W-2
Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week (flexible start between 7:00–8:30 AM, 7.5-hour day)

Job Duties

• Review Medicaid Enrollment Reports daily and process correct Medicaid categories for wards in all 92 counties.
• Identify the proper Medicaid category for DCS wards and take corrective action if a child is not in the right category.
• Complete enrollment information in IEDSS (DFR Case Management System) and MaGIK (DCS Child Welfare Case Management System).
• Notify DFR of changes in placements.
• Request Medicaid cards for wards.
• Ensure all children on reports are coded as wards, MEU is listed as the Authorized Representative, children are in the correct Medicaid category, and coverage is accurate for the appropriate timeframe.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma (required).
• At least 1 year of experience working with Medicaid enrollment or related areas.
• At least 1 year of experience with HIPAA or maintaining confidentiality in the workplace.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel (required).
• Experience with MaGIK, KidTraks, and IEDSS (highly desired, 1 year).
• Knowledge of Federal IV-E Foster Care, Adoption, and Medicaid programs, policies, and procedures (preferred).
• Ability to adapt to change, manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

Additional Information

• Absences greater than two weeks must be pre-approved by CAI management.
• Candidate must agree to a $20/hr W-2 pay rate (provider markup 30%).
• Must be available for in-person interviews.
• Must pass DCS fingerprinting and CPI/CPS background check prior to starting.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
