Job Summary
The Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the enrollment process for patients, ensuring that all necessary documentation and information are accurately collected and processed. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and patient service to effectively assist individuals in navigating their healthcare options. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting and possess knowledge of various coding systems, including CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
Duties
- Assist patients with the enrollment process by providing clear guidance on required documentation and procedures.
- Review and verify patient information for accuracy and completeness in medical records.
- Utilize knowledge of medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) to ensure proper classification of diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate discharge planning and case management for patients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Engage in intake assessments to gather relevant information for behavioral health and social work services.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to enrollment.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to support pediatric patients and those requiring acute care services.
Experience
- High school Diploma.
- Prior experience working with Medicaid enrollment.
- Prior experience with HIPPA or protection of confidential information in the workplace.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of MaGIK, KidTracks and IEDSS.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
