JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Project Manager/Project Manager provides overall technical direction and project management to environmental projects of considerable size, scope or complexity and ensures that projects and tasks performed by the company are designed and conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, guidance, and client-specified requirements.  Provides technical and managerial advice or counsel to other professionals and has responsibility for ensuring the technical quality of projects.  The Senior Project Manager may also be asked to assist with developing program policies and technical content and pricing for proposals and may run select projects.The Senior Project Manager/Project Manager manages key client projects. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. He or she will oversee all aspects of projects; set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project; and prepare reports for upper management regarding the financial status of projects.The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget and meet company quality requirements. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will support the hiring of new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.Must be familiar with a variety of environmental concepts, practices, and procedures; rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; perform a variety of tasks; lead and direct the work of others; enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to): Provides and is responsible for overall management and technical direction to projects of considerable size, scope or complexity Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projectsEnsures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budgetAssists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityCoordinates with the Program Manager to ensures resource availability and allocationDevelops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progressManages changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniquesMeasures project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesReports and escalates to management as neededManages the relationship with the client and all stakeholdersPerforms risk management to minimize project risksEstablishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendorsCreates and maintains comprehensive project documentationMeets with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each projectDelegates project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levelsTracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goalsMeets budgetary objectives and makes adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysisDevelops comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff membersUses and continually develops leadership skillsAttends conferences and training as required to maintain proficiencyPerforms other related duties as assignedDevelops spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSCandidates will have a minimum of 10 years of total professional work experience, with a minimum of six years’ experience in providing technical guidance or project management on large environmental projects for federal agency customers.  Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.  A Masters Degree in a relevant field will be equivalent to one and two years respectively of general experience in that field. Candidates with previous project management or task management experience are preferred. A related certificate or license is preferred but not required (e.g. PMP, PE, or PG certification/license).Experience during the execution of Federal DoD projects under CERCLA or RCRA is required. Experience supporting the USACE and or NAVFAC is preferred.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
