Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plastic Extrusion Operator to join our team. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. This is for a night shift position, 7:00pm - 7:00am, 4 nights a week. Because we work 4 - 12 hour shifts there is 8 hours of overtime pay each week.
Duties:
-Plastic Extrusion Operator
- Set up and operate extrusion machines according to production specifications
- Monitor the extrusion process to ensure proper temperature, pressure, and speed
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Package finished products and prepare them for shipment or storage
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
-Plastic Extrusion Operator
- Previous experience as an Extrusion Operator or similar role
- Knowledge of fabricating, machining, and plastics injection molding processes
- Familiarity with hand tools, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Ability to perform quality inspections and identify defects in finished products
- Experience with logic controllers is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
