Vice President of Data Center Construction

Compensation & location:

Key responsibilities:
- Programme delivery: Oversee end-to-end construction across multiple concurrent projects, providing strategic direction to internal teams and external partners on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Safety & compliance: Define and enforce safety standards, lead audit reviews, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed lessons learned across all projects.
- Financial oversight: Champion cost-effectiveness and partner with cost/estimating teams to develop and manage project budgets with a high degree of predictability.
- Customer interface: Lead direct engagement with customers to develop realistic schedules, report on progress, and deliver quantified business outcomes.
- GC & vendor management: Drive selection and onboarding of top-tier General Contractors and suppliers, lead MSA negotiations across delivery methods including GC Prime, Design-Build, EPMC, and more.
- Risk mitigation: Establish and communicate risk frameworks; develop dashboards and scorecards to track and drive progress at programme level.
- People leadership: Build, develop, and manage a high-performing regional construction organisation — hiring talent, driving performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Change & process: Lead development and implementation of organisational policies, delivery standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in data center construction, with both client and contractor-side exposure
- 10 years of project management experience on large-scale, complex infrastructure programmes
- Proven track record managing geographically distributed teams and budgets at enterprise scale
