What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at GS2 | B Corp™?
A leading renewable energy infrastructure developer headquartered in the Southeast is seeking an organized, highly communicative Project Manager to lead full cycle solar energy project execution across a growing portfolio.
This role sits at the critical intersection of business and execution. Transitioning projects right after hand off from the sales team, you will take ownership of project delivery from early stage planning and municipal coordination through to site mobilization and final closeout. You will act as the key operational hub, balancing jobsite realities, vendor oversight, budget/schedule management, and polished communication with high-profile corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Project Delivery: Manage projects from sales hand-off to closeout. Lead project kick off, obtain permits, manage logistics, track milestones in Procore, and oversee jobsite mobilization and final documentation.
- High-Stakes & Diverse Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact across all levels. Seamlessly bridge the gap between enterprise corporate clients, city/state regulatory agencies, engineering partners, and field contractors.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Keep a sharp eye on project financials and timelines. Monitor cost tracking, manage change orders, approve invoices, and adjust scheduling to keep builds on track and within budget.
- Safety & Quality Control: Coordinate closely with field leadership to implement project specific safety plans, conduct regular site checks, and maintain strict quality standards.
Who You Are
- Growing PM or EPC Professional: 3 years of project management or construction management experience (e.g., strong fit for a Construction Manager coming from an EPC environment looking to step into a PM role). Background in commercial solar, civil, structural, or electrical construction is ideal.
- Exceptional Presenter & Communicator: Equally comfortable leading formal presentations in executive boardrooms (working with major accounts like enterprise automotive and commercial clients) as you are speaking with small local trade subcontractors on-site.
- Organized Navigator: Highly organized with a knack for working through bureaucracy, coordinating with local municipalities, managing permits, and keeping multiple moving parts aligned.
- Tech-Minded Operator: Working knowledge of Procore, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project), and standard project financial tools.
Location & Work Schedule
- Work Setup: Full time, based out of Atlanta, GA (typically 3-4 days in-office, with 1-2 days on site across the region).
- Package: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus corporate bonus potential and full benefits.
- Benefits: Subsidized health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with match, and a flexible PTO policy.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
