Senior Electrical Project Manager | Large-Scale Commercial & Industrial Projects
Gryphon Oakwood is representing a well-established electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee large, complex projects from preconstruction through final close-out.
This role carries responsibility for project execution, financial performance, scheduling, safety, quality and client relationships, while working closely with field leadership and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through close-out.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, profitability, cash flow and change orders.
- Oversee project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers and Superintendents.
- Coordinate scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, manpower and material deliveries.
- Monitor labor productivity, costs, quality and project milestones, implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities and prefabrication improvements.
- Manage client relationships, contract compliance, negotiations and project documentation.
- Lead project reviews, resolve issues and ensure successful project close-out.
Requirements
- 7 years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing large or complex electrical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, contracts, scheduling and cost control.
- Experience leading project teams and coordinating field operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
A degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field is preferred. Electrical apprenticeship completion and preconstruction or estimating experience are advantageous.
