Building Automation Systems Technician

Gryphon is seeking a full-time DDC-HVAC Technician to provide professional and technical support to the U.S. Army Reserve’s 88th Readiness Division (RD), Directorate of Public Works (DPW), at Fort McCoy, WI. The 88^th RD manages 270 sites comprised of 800 buildings across 19 states.

Essential Functions

• Respond to alarms, perform basic troubleshooting of HVAC systems. 
• Modify alarm and history trend parameters.
• Assist Energy Managers with High Energy Use buildings.
• Maintain building occupancy schedules. 
• Evaluate analytics reports to determine if corrective action is required.
• Troubleshoot communications issues.
• Monitor Utility Monitoring and Control System [UMCS] for trends. 
• Develop Building profiles.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A technical degree or relevant certification in areas like electrical engineering, computer science, or building automation systems is preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation controls. 
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues within the BAS system. 
• Clear communication skills to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and team members. 
• Ability to climb ladders, and work in various environments. 

Additional Eligibility Requirements: 

• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a Department of Army background investigation.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Must have access to a reliable automobile.
• Must be willing to travel. Travel constitutes approximately 20% of the job.
