What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative (Spanish-Language books) position at Grupo Planeta?
At Grupo Planeta, we are currently looking to expand our commercial team to grow the placement of our Spanish-language book offerings in the United States. This person will be responsible for increasing sales through personalized commercial management with prospects and clients, identifying business opportunities, expanding the client portfolio, and ensuring a satisfying experience at every stage of the sales process.
Your role will consist of:
- Contact, visit, and generate sales with the assigned client portfolio
- Identify and attract new clients
- Send communications about updates and new offerings
- Present the product catalog
- Update and manage information on clients, prospects, and contacts
- Prepare and follow up on quotations
- Manage orders and coordinate deliveries
- Prepare commercial management reports
- Provide feedback to the business on the commercial landscape and competitors
- Support participation in events and presentations

What are we looking for in you?
- Bachelor’s degree in business or administrative fields
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sales advisor or in similar roles, performing activities such as:
- Contacting, following up with, and negotiating with clients
- Preparing and tracking quotations
- Presenting products
- Developing and executing sales projections
- Own vehicle required
- Previous experience in book sales or working in bookstores (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual Spanish/English (mandatory)
- Passion for reading
