Duties
- Monitor inmate activity through CCTV surveillance systems to ensure safety and compliance with facility rules.
- Conduct regular security checks and visual inspections of detention areas, ensuring all protocols are followed.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or disturbances using conflict management techniques and de-escalation skills.
- Maintain detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and inmate behavior using precise report writing practices.
- Providing immediate care in emergency situations until professional medical assistance arrives.
- Enforce facility policies by supervising inmate movements, searches, and interactions with visitors or staff.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incident responses to uphold legal standards.
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, military service, or detention facilities is highly preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable to effectively respond to medical emergencies.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure during tense situations.
- Proven ability to write clear, accurate reports documenting incidents and daily activities.
