Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and other vehicle components.
- Repair and replace vehicle parts including powertrain components, vehicle suspension systems, transmissions, and electrical wiring diagrams interpretation.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and system calibrations including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair equipment efficiently to complete repairs accurately and safely.
- Interpret schematics and automotive wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical problems within vehicle systems.
- Repair diesel engines and perform vehicle transmission system repairs with precision.
- Ensure all work complies with dealership standards and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience (5 years prefered) with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance .
- Demonstrated ability to work with automotive diagnostic tools and interpret schematics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical wiring, suspension, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Service technician experience involving auto estimating processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems.
- Prior experience in vehicle maintenance tasks such as wheel alignment and vehicle transmission repairs is highly valued.
