Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, and gas/diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Service and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), alignments, wheel balancing, and vehicle suspension systems to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, estimates, and maintenance recommendations while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain detailed service records and complete auto estimating procedures to ensure transparency and accuracy in all work performed.
Requirements
- Automotive service technician experience with a background in automotive repair. Willing to improve your knowledge and learning of automotive repair.
- Hands-on experience with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred; familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus but not required.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, powertrain components, transmissions, automotive electrical systems, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs; experience with automotive diagnostics software is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and lift equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
