Supervises the daily operations of GRTC’s bus servicing lanes, ensuring all vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and prepared for service on time. Leads service attendants and utility staff, coordinates bus flow during pull-in/pull-out, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Monitors fueling systems (diesel/CNG/electric), maintains service records, and communicates with maintenance and operations teams to keep the fleet reliable, presentable, and service-ready for Richmond riders.
- Supervise staff who handle bus fueling, washing, interior cleaning, and basic servicing
- Coordinate daily workflow so buses are processed efficiently between shifts
- Monitor fuel operations, including diesel/CNG/electric charging systems, and track usage
- Oversee cleaning standards, making sure buses meet sanitation and appearance requirements
- Inspect buses for basic issues (fluid levels, visible damage, safety concerns) and report them to maintenance teams
- Ensure safety compliance with workplace, environmental, and fuel-handling regulations
- Manage schedules and assignments for service lane employees
- Handle minor troubleshooting of equipment like fuel pumps, wash systems, or vacuum stations
- Maintain records of fueling, cleaning, and servicing activities
- Coordinate with mechanics and operations to prioritize buses needed for service
