You will lead complex, large-scale and critical infrastructure projects (ex: deep trenching, large-diameter pipeline installation, canal interties, pump station installs and rehabilitations, tank replacements, and reservoir storage projects).

Project Manager (Construction / Public Works) – Your Impact
You will oversee projects and on-site leaders, supervisors and field teams for municipalities projects throughout California, leading projects from start to finish.
You own the project budgets, are the enforcer of quality standards, safety and solving challenges that keep projects moving forward.
- Oversee and manage your project budgets and job costs – you own the budgets of your projects – preparing job projections, tracking job costs and maintaining job cost and budget reporting / projections through project collection
- Plan and designate labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources based on project scope and field needs
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules with milestones, look-aheads, and contingencies
- Monitor installation progress, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure construction quality meets project and customer standards
- Manage ongoing projects to prevent delays, work stoppages, material shortages, and productivity loss
- Coordinate with operations teams on material delivery, staging, requisitions and job needs
- Work with engineers regarding monthly progress billings
- Identify change orders, contract requirements and ensure project satisfies contract requirements
- Coordinate utility service applications, customer interactions, site visits, and permitting communications according to company procedures
- Develop and maintain utility services and permitting status reports
- Manage county permits, public works requirements, and regulatory compliance
Project Manager (Construction / Public Works) –Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit
You have:
- Prior experience with construction public works / municipal projects – working with cities, states or districts, municipalities, public agencies on underground utilities (wet or dry), infrastructure or water / irrigation related projects
- Expertise in overseeing project budgets, job costs, project projections and billings
- Comfort using digital construction and project management tools
- Ability to travel throughout Central California to job sites (Company truck provided)
Project Manager (Construction / Public Works) – Benefits for You

Your compensation will be targeted up to $140,000 annually, with flexibility, plus bonus.
