As an HR Generalist at Growscape, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations—supporting office and manufacturing/distribution teams across Twinsburg and Middlefield, OH. This role provides broad HR support while playing a hands-on role in attracting talent, welcoming new hires, strengthening communication, and cultivating a workplace where employees feel engaged and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles at both the corporate and plant locations.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and interview strategies.
- Coordinate onboarding programs ensuring a seamless experience for new hires.
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure completion of all required documentation and training.
- Optimize use of Indeed and Paycom to improve the sourcing and recruiting process.
- Partner with Marketing to improve employment branding and feature positive content on social media.
Terminations & Offboarding
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and final pay coordination for corporate offices.
- Ensure documentation and communication are handled with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Provide feedback trends and insights to leadership to improve retention.
Culture: Communications, Recognition & Events
- Coordinate internal communication channels including digital displays, newsletters, bulletin board postings to align employees with company values and initiatives.
- Organize employee recognition programs and drive employee engagement through recognition programs and culture-building activities.
- Support site engagement plan activities by coordinating employee appreciation events, celebrations, community/volunteer initiatives and milestone recognition.
Learning & Development
- Leverage HRIS system to administer training and track completion.
- Coordinate training and learning opportunities for all levels of employees.
- Support the identification and creation of training content.
Record keeping and reporting
- Maintain accurate HR records and metrics for turnover, headcount, and engagement.
- Support the total rewards team with data entry and reporting.
- Provide regular HR analytics and reports to support decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity in HR systems and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, preferably in both manufacturing and corporate environments.
- Significant experience in recruiting and onboarding for both salary and hourly roles.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and safety compliance.
- Prior experience implementing HRIS systems to improve processes. Paycom knowledge preferred.
