Well Services Crew Member
Location
Canonsburg, PA and surrounding job sites across Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 6am 6pm (hours may vary by project and weather conditions).

Position Overview
As a Well Services General Laborer with Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL), youll support Operators and Foremen on environmental restoration, site stabilization, and maintenance projects across the region. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.
Youll assist with erosion control, vegetation management, equipment upkeep, and seasonal tasks including snow plowing, salting, and winter site maintenance to help our crews operate efficiently and safely year-round.
Key Responsibilities
Erosion Control & Site Stabilization
- Install and maintain erosion and sediment (E&S) control measures.
- Seed and apply straw or matting to stabilize disturbed soil areas.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites at all times.
Field Operations & General Labor
- Set up and tear down traffic control signage in work zones.
- Clean culverts, ditch lines, and drainage areas.
- Perform sediment removal, erosion repair, and vegetation management.
- Operate power tools and equipment including weed-whackers, brush-hogs, and chainsaws.
- Assist with grading, hauling, and other manual labor tasks as directed.
Winter & Snow Operations
- Operate snow plows, salt spreaders, and skid steers for snow and ice removal on commercial and industrial sites.
- Apply de-icing materials according to safety and environmental guidelines.
- Respond promptly to weather events, including nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.
- Maintain equipment and materials for snow operations in a state of readiness.
Equipment Care & Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of trucks, trailers, and field equipment.
- Fuel, grease, and inspect equipment daily; report mechanical issues promptly.
- Perform basic operation of skid steers and crawler carriers.
- Wash and clean equipment regularly to ensure safety and professional presentation.
Professional Standards & Safety
- Wear company uniforms and required PPE at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols, complete required training, and comply with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively, demonstrate a positive attitude, and support teammates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall crew success.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
- Prior field experience in construction, landscaping, or environmental services preferred.
- Experience with snow plowing and salting equipment strongly preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical labor.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort operating small equipment.
Safety & PPE Requirements
- Long sleeve shirts, pants covering the full leg, and steel/composite toe boots.
- Eye, ear, and hand protection required at all times.
- Additional PPE (hard hats, reflective vests, etc.) provided and required per site conditions.
- Must participate in all company safety meetings and complete annual safety training.
