Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children ages 12-24 months. The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities
- Implement engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, adapting lessons as necessary.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative educational community.
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress and communicate findings to parents and guardians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Experience
- Prior experience in preschool or early childhood education settings is preferred.
- Background in childcare, including infant care, toddler care, or daycare settings is beneficial.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- A strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
