What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office/Shipping Position position at Grower-Shipper Potato Co.?
Grower-Shipper Potato Company is looking for an individual to fill a part-time office position in our busy warehouse. The candidate must be dependable, able to multi-task and available to work evenings, and Saturday's as needed. The following is a general list of duties that the individual would be responsible for;
- Setting truck appointment times, receiving ETA’s, assisting truck drivers with directions, collaborating with the transportation center
- Scheduling loads (ensuring all information is correct and complete before drivers arrive to pick up their load)
- Preparing drop trailer information
- Checking trucks in, starting loads, checking orders out, preparing additional information and emailing the BOL to the necessary personnel
- Receiving transfers
- Printing tags as needed
- Monitoring office supplies and placing orders as needed
- Answering a multi-line system, transferring calls, taking messages for the appropriate personnel
- Receiving packaging material documentation and sending delivery personnel to the appropriate area to unload
- Receiving packages and distributing them as needed
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand, stoop, crawl, lift 30lbs as needed
- Must be proficient in English (oral and written)
- Must be have strong communication skills
- Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be organized with the ability to multi-task
Job Types: Part-time (3pm-close & Saturdays)
Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 /hour DOE
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
