Summary Description: The Grow Public Schools Counselor supports student success by implementing a comprehensive, research-based school counseling program that promotes academic achievement, college and career readiness, and personal/social development. Through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, the counselor delivers direct services to students and partners with staff and families to build a positive and inclusive school culture. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Comprehensive Counseling Programming Implement a research-based, developmentally appropriate counseling program aligned with the GPS Strategic Plan and College & Career (C&C) goals. Deliver brief individual counseling and small group counseling sessions that address academic, personal/social, and career goals. Provide crisis intervention and responsive services as needed. Provides applicable materials and resources to teachers for doing guidance activities in their classrooms. Use student data to identify and support all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career, and personal/social skills, goals, and plans.
