Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to support the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers. This role involves working closely with lead teachers and caregivers to promote positive development and ensure the well-being of all children in our care. Prior experience in childcare, classroom management, or early childhood education is highly valued, along with a strong commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Assist in supervising and engaging children during play, learning activities, and mealtime to promote social and emotional development.
- Support classroom management by helping organize activities, maintaining routines, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed.
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development and learning milestones.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and supplies regularly.
- Observe and document children's progress and behaviors to inform teachers and parents.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans under supervision.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and preparing materials for activities.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
