Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of young learners, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development and literacy education.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various subjects including math, physical education, and special education needs.
- Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, including those requiring early intervention or behavior management strategies.
- Foster communication with parents regarding child welfare, progress, and any concerns.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators in the planning of activities and sharing of best practices.
- Utilize standardized testing methods to assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational practices.
Experience
- Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting is preferred but not required.
- Background in early childhood education or related field is preferred; Montessori experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching specific subjects such as literacy or math is advantageous.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and practices related to childcare settings.

- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be flexible.
- Must have high school diploma or higher education.
