We are seeking a caring and experienced Childcare Professional to join our team!
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The Childcare Professional will work closely with the child care team to ensure the children's needs are met and exceeded.
Duties include, but are not limited to - Provide high-quality childcare to children of various ages, from infant to preschool, in a child care setting. - Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, games, and lessons that promote childhood development and learning. - Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to all safety and health regulations. - Manage and redirect children's behavior, using positive reinforcement techniques and behavioral management strategies. - Provide first aid and administer medication as needed, ensuring children receive proper care. - Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure consistency in childcare and educational activities. - Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to keep them informed about their child's daily activities and progress. - Participate in professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education. - Maintain a clean and organized daycare facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for children and staff.
Requirements - Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare setting. - Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles. - Experience in babysitting, childcare, or a related field. - Ability to administer first aid and handle emergency situations. - Familiarity with special education principles and practices. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. - High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education certification or degree preferred.
