What You’ll Do:
You’ll be an integral part of our team, supporting four busy attorneys with tasks such as:
· Answering the majority of incoming phone calls
· Performing client intake support, conflict checks, and retainer processing when needed
· Be the face of our office – opening the front door, welcoming clients or potential new clients upon arrival, signing for packages, etc
· Handling incoming and outgoing mail
· Processing in electronic filings from the court by saving to file and sending to clients
· Maintaining calendars, managing deadlines, and scheduling meetings, calls, hearings, and mediations
· Scanning documents
· Drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
· Assisting attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation and managing document productions (redacting, Bates stamping, etc.) as needed
· Other administrative tasks as assigned
· Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
What We’re Looking For:
· Punctual, dependable, and driven by a commitment to excellent client service
· Previous experience working in a law firm required - family law experience is a plus
· Ability to juggle multiple priorities with keen attention to detail
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox/Sharefile, MDEC, and MyCase preferred
· Some college preferred, but a degree is not required
