Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Rice Creek, Minnesota
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead software product delivery in a Product Owner/Technical Leadership capacity. This is not a hands-on coding role. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background with experience leading Agile teams, managing product backlogs, and driving software releases from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a software engineering team throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog.
- Create and manage Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks.
- Facilitate Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Release Planning.
- Coordinate software development activities and remove delivery blockers.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, QA, Product Management, and cross-functional teams.
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure timely, high-quality software delivery.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure successful execution of software releases and delivery milestones.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in Software Engineering, Product Ownership, or Technical Project Management.
- Strong understanding of Java-based software development (coding not required).
- Knowledge of Android applications or Android-based environments is preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience owning and managing Product Backlogs.
- Experience creating User Stories, Epics, Features, Acceptance Criteria, and managing Sprint Planning.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software architecture.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

- Product Owner experience.

Preferred Background
- Software engineering background with technical understanding.
