As a Line Cook at the Grove Hotel, you will play a vital role in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes to ensure every plate meets our standards for quality, presentation, and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Set up and stock stations with appropriate tools, ingredients, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout your shift.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient ticket execution.
- Monitor ingredient levels and replenish as needed throughout service.
- Assist with inventory tracking, labeling, and stock rotation.
- Provide input for daily specials or seasonal menu items.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude, especially during high-volume service.
- Follow all company food safety, uniform, and attendance policies.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen required.
- Must be proficient in basic cooking techniques and knife handling.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be available to work early mornings and weekends.
- Ability to multitask and stay detail-focused in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations required.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in hot kitchen environments and move between stations as needed.
