You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, washing dishes, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is critical to ensuring that our restaurant operates efficiently and that all guests receive high-quality food and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using an automatic dishwasher or by hand
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, and countertops
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, remove trash and recycling, and ensure that all areas are clean and organized
- Assist with food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling food items
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are running low
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including wearing gloves, hairnets, and aprons as required
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
