About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and versatile Service Technician to join our potato storage mechanical team. This role is ideal for someone with a broad skill set who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and maintaining critical systems that ensure crop quality and storage efficiency.

You’ll play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and improving storage environments, equipment, and facility operations.

We are willing to train the right candidate with the right mindset and work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor and maintain potato storage conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation)

· Operate and troubleshoot storage control systems and equipment

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems

· Assist with loading/unloading and general warehouse duties as needed

· Identify and resolve issues quickly to prevent spoilage or loss

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

· Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications

· Experience in maintenance, agriculture, or a technical field preferred

· Strong mechanical aptitude: electrical knowledge is a plus

· Ability to troubleshoot and think critically under pressure

· Comfortable working in varying temperatures and physical conditions

· Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and repair processes

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented

· Clean driving record

Preferred Skills

· Experience with HVAC, ventilation, or climate control systems

· Background in agricultural storage or warehouse operations

· Familiarity with monitoring systems or automated controls

· Welding, fabrication, or electrical experience is a bonus
