The Opportunity

Group One Trading is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Office Manager Intern to support daily operations in our New York office. This hands-on, in-office role focuses on maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and efficient workplace. The ideal candidate enjoys managing logistics, staying organized, and serving as a dependable point of support for the team.

What We Do

Group One Trading was founded in 1989, and we've become one of the largest privately held options trading firms in the United States, with brilliant people on our team in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. We continue to expand our presence on exchanges as the options trading space evolves and grows. Armed with expertise developed through a rigorous training program, our traders provide competitive liquidity across a broad range of securities. We manage portfolios of thousands of securities and electronically stream two-sided quotes across multiple exchanges. Group One is wholly owned by its founders and employees, and all our trading is proprietary, placing both the rewards for our success and managerial oversight directly in our team's hands.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked office environment across kitchen and common areas.
  • Manage visitor logistics by maintaining guest lists, handling conference room setup and scheduling, and preparing and distributing access badges.
  • Coordinate catering and serve as the point of contact for office events and meetings.
  • Oversee office inventory by tracking supplies, snacks, and equipment while anticipating ongoing needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for building-related requests, including submitting work orders and coordinating with property management.
  • Oversee daily office operations, including administrative tasks such as handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages, assisting with onboarding logistics, and supporting the HR and Recruitment Team.

Skills And Requirements

  • This role requires full in-office presence, with availability to work on-site 5 days per week from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (minimum of 30 hrs/week).
  • Pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field in the NYC area.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Reliable, proactive, and comfortable handling routine operational tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).
