Description

This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and accurate transportation of goods while maintaining strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. The coordinator plays a key role in cost control, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Freight Management:
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments using internal and external carrier accounts.
- Serve as the primary liaison with freight carriers, suppliers, and customers regarding logistics execution and issue resolution.
- Manage freight claims, loss tracking, and exception handling using Monday.com and carrier systems.
- Systems & Reporting:
- Utilize D365, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and carrier portals to manage logistics workflows and reporting.
- Maintain and present cost tracking reports, freight spend analysis, and performance metrics.
- Support inventory-related reporting in collaboration with the Inventory Accountant.
- Cost Control & Analysis:
- Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership on logistics performance and cost trends.
- Support carrier selection and rate negotiation processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Client Services, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales teams to align logistics strategies with business needs.
- Represent the logistics function across the organization and support other divisions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and lead logistics-related CI projects.
- Set targets, assess impact, and drive execution of initiatives that improve service, cost, and operational performance.
- 3PL Oversight
- Coordinate and manage third-party logistics (3PL) facilities to ensure service quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for 3PL partners, addressing performance issues and facilitating continuous improvement.
- Monitor 3PL operations to ensure alignment with Group O standards and client expectations.
- Other Duties:
- Maintain visual displays of logistics metrics and performance indicators.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

- Hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely and on-site.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits, carrier meetings, or operational support.
Job Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably D365) and logistics platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting business needs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills (internal and external).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics tracking tools.
