Experienced Barista wanted for a newly opened specialty coffee shop.
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer focused baristas to join our team at Grounded Coffee, a new specialty coffee shop committed to serving high - quality coffee. As a barista you will be the face of our brand, responsible for delivering exceptional service, crafting delicious coffee beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coffee Preparation & Service:
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, including espresso- based drinks,
pour - overs and teas, following precise recipes and techniques.
- Ensure proper handling of espresso machines, grinders and brewing equipment.
- Assist in development and innovation of new seasonal drinks or coffee offerings.
- Prepare and serve pastries and pre-prepared breakfast items.
2. Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and assist customers with any recommendations.
- Take orders efficiently and process payments accurately through POS.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly.
3. Maintenance & Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the coffee shop.
- Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of coffee equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a safe environment.
- Adhere to Grounded Coffee employee handbook.
4. Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a barista or in the coffee industry is a must.
- Basic knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and latte art (or eagerness to learn).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Additional Information:
- Flexible working hours, including weekends.
- Hours of operation Monday-Friday 6AM - 2PM; Sat & Sun 7AM-#pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
