Barista/Food Service at Ground Coffee

Ground in Hood River is looking to hire someone who enjoys food, coffee, has great communication skills, and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. We're now hiring for end of summer and fall/winter and seeking year-round employees. Compensation based on experience. Barista experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Must be able to work weekdays and some weekend days. Part to full time available, must be able to work varying shifts, morning and afternoon/early evening. Must be able to work at least 3-4 days a week. Hiring now!

A qualified candidate must have:

- Strong passion for food and learning

- Proficient in cash handling and operating a POS system

- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service

- Ability to handle food safely and follow health and safety regulations

- Flexible schedule

- Good communication skills

- Professional attitude

- Desire to work with and contribute to an awesome team

- Have a Food Handler certificate

- Food service and barista experience is preferred, but not required.

Team Member responsibilities include:

- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction

- Take orders and process payments using the POS system

- Prepare and serve food and beverages in a timely manner

- Maintain cleanliness and organization

- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy workspace

- Follow all food safety and handling procedures

- Upsell menu items and promote specials to customers

- Food Prep

- Coffee making
