Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and Certified Public Accountant preferred. 5 plus years of responsible accounting experience, with atleast 2 years in a supervisory role and two years
within a K-12 education, or governmental/non-profit organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Deep working knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board (
GASB) principles,
Fund Accounting. Advanced knowledge ofMicrosoft Office and Excel required.
ERP systems common in public sectoraccounting preferred (e.g., PowerSchool/eFinance, MUNIS, specific state and federal grant systems, etc.).
Duties
:
Responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions of the school district,ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with state/federal regulations and Board of Education policies and procedures.
