Description:
We are seeking individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in public accounting to serve as interns working as entry-level staff accountants in our audit and accounting department during tax season. We are also seeking December graduates looking for fulltime employment opportunities.
The internship will involve working with a team performing audits, reviews, and compilations for not for profit, manufacturing, health care and construction clients. Interns will also prepare tax returns which include corporate, partnership, trust, and individual returns.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be willing to travel to client sites during the day in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area (subject to safety protocols due to COVID-19 most of our work is being conducted remotely from our office). Interns must be able to provide two or three full days to work on engagements with the team. The intern position requires the ability to work an average of 25 hours per week beginning in mid-January running through April 15th (tax season). Other requirements include:

Pursuing Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting

Must have completed intermediate accounting courses

Prefer juniors and seniors, will consider sophomores

Prior experience in public accounting or general accounting a plus

Interested in pursuing career in public accounting and desire to attain CPA certification

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Interns - Ability to work minimum of two full days during and a minimum four hours on Saturdays during from January through April 15th (Averaging 25 hours per week)
