We’re looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Project Manager who can take ownership of projects and drive results in the field.
Position Overview
The I&C Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of instrumentation and controls scope on assigned projects—from preconstruction through turnover. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership in the field, and the ability to drive schedule and coordinate across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage I&C scope from kickoff through commissioning and turnover
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans
- Coordinate with engineering, VDC, and field teams to ensure accurate installation
- Oversee procurement of instrumentation, control panels, and related equipment
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and client relationships
- Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting on cost, schedule, and risk
- Work closely with superintendents to drive field productivity and execution
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Support commissioning activities, loop checks, and system startup
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in instrumentation & controls, preferably in industrial or mission-critical environments
- Strong understanding of PLCs, SCADA systems, and process controls
- Experience managing projects in pharma, semiconductor, data center, or heavy industrial sectors preferred
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control schematics, and one-lines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive schedule
