As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition.
- Handle animals with care and compassion, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the pet and the groomer.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and any observations made during the grooming process.
- Assist in pet care tasks such as feeding, walking, or providing companionship as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive environment for both pets and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong skills in dog handling, animal care, and animal restraint are essential.
- Experience in veterinary settings (as a veterinary technician or assistant) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Experience in kennel operations or pet sitting is beneficial.
