What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Math Teacher position at Groom ISD?
Seeking a dedicated Secondary Math Teacher to join our school community in Groom. This full-time position will teach secondary mathematics courses in alignment with Texas TEKS standards and help students develop strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills through engaging instruction. Possible teaching assignments may include middle school math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and other secondary math courses based on campus needs. The ideal candidate will create a positive classroom environment, use effective instructional practices, communicate well with students and parents, and collaborate with staff to support student success. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and possess a valid Texas teaching certification in Mathematics or be eligible to obtain certification. Experience teaching middle or high school mathematics, as well as coaching or UIL sponsorship experience, is preferred.
