Requirements
- OSHA 10 or equivalent or willingness to obtain this certification within 60 days of employment. Groom will pay for course if passed.
- Protect surrounding work surfaces and finishes.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and structures
- Operate painting tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Follow project specifications, safety guidelines, manufacturer’s installation instructions and quality standards
- Inspect completed work for quality and touch up as necessary
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ideally, can install Wallpaper per manufacturer’s instructions
- Proven experience as a commercial painter or similar role
- Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and be willing to drive up to 750 miles/week. Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate outside of 50 miles to and from work location each day or 100 miles total.
- Ability to comfortably climb ladders safely.
- Must be capable and willing to work overnight shifts
- Ability/Willing to travel throughout the US when needed (retail division only)
- Ability to perform daily essential physical functions of safely lifting up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to read and respond professionally to company emails.
- Professional appearance should represent Groom well.
- Must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Must be able to interact with the public
- Must be able to complete general paperwork, safety reports, timecards, incident reports, etc.
