GROB Inc. Is Hiring For 1st Shift Full Time General Labor / Machine Operator

Grob Inc. is looking for mechanically inclined individuals to train how to operate our custom gear rolling machines.

Grob Inc has been a family owned and operated company since 1929. Grob Inc. employees approximately 50 people at our 120,000 square foot family-owned manufacturing plant in Grafton Wisconsin. We’ve retired 4 people over the last few years. Each retiree had over 40 years of service and one retiree had 57yrs with the company! Grob is a company where employees stay. We have a lot of talent on our team and are looking to add more.

Grob Inc. has been a leader in the manufacturing industry since 1929, specializing in making industrial band saws and the GROB invented cold forming (Gear Rolling) process that forges a spline, gear, hexagon, square or custom shapes on various types of steel, aluminum, and specialty alloy bars.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• A positive attitude.
• Good mechanical abilities.
• Decent math skills.
• Past machining experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve machinery performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• The ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good using hand tools and wrenches.

The pay & Benefits:

Estimated Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (Pay is based on experience)

The Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm
