Position OverviewReports to the US Human Resources Director. Responsible for leading, developing and implementing the US benefits and leave programs which include communicating, maintaining, and administrative tasks associated with US employee benefits.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage benefit carrier relationships and provide recommendations for changes to the US HR Director and/or Sr. Global HR Director.Manage benefit SPD’s and COC’s and make sure any changes from year to year are recognized within the HRIS systems and with our carriers.Manage all benefit compliance reports and requirements to ensure compliance with state and federal benefit guidelines and compliance.Lead partnership relationship with benefit broker.Leads our benefits annual open enrollment preparation, communication, and implementation.Update all enrollments, terminations and changes in coverage for all benefits on all appropriate carrier sites and/or Company HRIS. Maintain and update benefits files. Manage all carrier site file feeds from/to UKG.Serve as primary resource for employees who initiate inquiries concerning employee benefits and assist employees in making changes as necessary.Maintain and issue monthly benefit billing statement for those on disability or leave of absence. Maintain and process benefit invoices.Develop, implement and oversee wellness program for our team with our benefit broker.Coordinates the site hearing and vision testing program with third-party vendor.Ensure timely COBRA processing for those eligible and manage COBRA processes.Conduct benefit plan audits or assist in audits.Manage leave of absence administration either directly or through a third-party administrator including, but not limited to Worker’s Compensation (WC), Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability, ADA, FML, Parental Leave, etc.Conduct new employee benefits orientations.Ongoing promotional support of all health and welfare benefit plans.Responsible for coordination with payroll to ensure that all deductions are current and implemented within the proper payroll cycle.May assist in ensuring new hire information is keyed into the company’s system of record (HRIS); may assist in processing employee changes into the company’s HRIS (benefit changes, etc.)Plan, coordinate and communicate employee recognition events such as luncheons, dinners, picnics and onsite or offsite wellness events.Partner with the US HR Director and Sr. Global HR Director on benefit program issues, changes and recommendations.Support general HR day-to-day activities for non-operations teams and functions.Other appropriate duties as assignedEducation, Training and/or Work Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration or related field of studyMaster’s Degree preferred5 to 7 years Benefits experience is a must3 to 5 years of general HR experience is highly preferredExperience managing all employee benefit plans, including retirement, health, dental, vision, ancillary insurance plans, reward/recognition programs and events is requiredExperience planning large employee events preferredHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Must be proficient in computer skills (Microsoft suite of products) and HRIS (UltiPro preferred)HR technology implementation experience preferredCEBS Certification preferredProven generalist capacity with experience in employee relations is required.Supervisory Status This position does not have any direct reports.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequirementsAbility to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Good communication skills required for employee interface including negotiation and problem-solving skills.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Resolve discrepancies through recommendations to management.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise independent judgement and discretion with decision making.Constantly able to maintain regular, punctual attendance. Flexibility in schedule may be required, though the generally expected schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am until 5pm.Ability to travel up to 10% domesticallyAbility to speak, read and write EnglishAbility to speak Spanish is preferredSafety & ComplianceAdhere to our safety policies, including use of PPE (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, closed-toe shoes), hazard communication, and GMPsParticipate in safety training, audits, and emergency preparedness drillsEnsure compliance with OSHA laboratory standards (29 CFR 1910), FDA, USDA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory requirementsSupport ongoing compliance with SQF, HACCP, FSSC, ISO, and other relevant certifications and auditsMaintain a safe and organized work environment; report and address unsafe conditions immediatelyUphold food safety protocols, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Defense, and Food Safety proceduresSupport our Quality Systems Policy, including document control, product traceability, crisis management, allergen management, and ongoing trainingEmployees are empowered to stop or refuse work if it cannot be performed safelyCompetenciesTechnical CapacityEthical ConductCommunication ProficiencyResults DrivenInitiativeFinancial acumen

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
