Maintenance Technical Trainer:
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs for maintenance personnel. This role ensures employees are properly trained in maintenance procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques to support reliable equipment performance and a safe manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and update technical training content for maintenance teams
- Create and maintain standardized procedures for maintenance and technical tasks
- Organize and maintain training records, including upkeep of the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Assess individual maintenance team members' technical competency and provide development recommendations
- Deliver training to teams across multiple shifts, including a flexible schedule to support three shifts
- Support the Maintenance Manager with departmental needs as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance or automation
- Prior technician and training experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment preferred
- Experience using a CMMS (inventory management, work orders, on-site requests)
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Comfortable presenting and teaching in both group and one-on-one settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated reliability, strong attendance, and a servant-leadership mindset
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and automation systems is a plus
- All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards and adhere to the Attendance Policy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Finger dexterity to write, type, and use standard office equipment
- Adequate vision to read small print and work on computer terminals
- Ability to speak and hear clearly
- Ability to walk throughout manufacturing facilities
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching as required
