Job Summary:
The Mowing Crew Manager is responsible for leading and managing a lawn maintenance crew to ensure high-quality mowing and property maintenance services are completed safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality. This role includes supervising crew members, managing daily routes, maintaining equipment, and serving as the primary point of contact between the crew, management, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a mowing crew, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met
- Manage daily mowing routes and job schedules
- Ensure properties are mowed, trimmed, and cleaned up to company standards
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
- Enforce safety procedures and proper use of equipment
- Operate mowing and landscaping equipment on a daily basis
- Inspect completed work and address any quality issues immediately
- Communicate with customers professionally and address concerns on-site when necessary
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance or repair needs
- Track time, attendance, and job completion as required
- Assist management with hiring recommendations and general feedback
Qualifications
- Previous experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping (supervisory experience preferred) is not required. Training will be available.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of commercial and residential mowing practices
- Ability to operate and oversee the use of mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, and other weather conditions
