Performance Coach – Youth Sports Performance

Gritworks Athletics is the premier sports performance training facility in Burlington, WA. We exist to help youth athletes build strength, confidence, character, and long-term athletic development—not just better seasons, but better lives.
We take an innovative, relationship-driven approach to youth performance training and are known for developing athletes on and off the field. As we grow, we’re looking for a passionate, high-energy Performance Coach who wants to make a real impact and grow with us.
What You’ll DoCoaching & Athlete Development
- Coach and motivate youth athletes in semi-private, small-group, and 1-on-1 settings
- Lead athletes safely, ethically, and effectively using Gritworks’ training methodology
- Conduct athlete assessments and track progress using established systems
- Design and adjust training programs to meet each athlete’s needs
- Build confidence, discipline, and strong movement foundations in young athletes
Client Experience & Community Impact
- Deliver an exceptional, welcoming experience for every athlete and family
- Build strong relationships that drive retention and trust
- Serve as a positive ambassador for Gritworks in the Burlington community
Who We’re Looking For Non-Negotiables
- Must LOVE working with kids and youth athletes
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong presence on the floor
- Reliable, consistent, and coachable
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of personal training or performance coaching experience
- Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, PE, Sports Science, or related field (preferred)
- CSCS, NASM, ACSM, or similar certification (or actively pursuing)
- Strong ability to coach movement, strength, speed, and confidence
- Excellent communication and organization skills
Schedule & Availability
- Monday–Saturday availability required
- Sessions run as early as 6:00 AM and as late as 8:30 PM
- Part-time (25 hours/week) with opportunity to grow into full-time
