International Sourcing Specialist
Company Overview:
Grip Tight Tools is a growing hardware company seeking an experienced International Sourcing Specialist to help expand and optimize our global supply chain. We work with factories around the world to bring high-quality, cost-effective products to market — and we’re looking for someone who can help manage and strengthen those international partnerships.
Position Summary:
The International Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing relationships with overseas factories and suppliers. This role involves negotiating pricing, ensuring product quality, and coordinating shipments while maintaining compliance with import regulations and HTS classifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· * Source new suppliers and factories overseas (primarily in Asia and other key manufacturing regions)
· * Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, and production capacity
· * Negotiate costs, terms, and lead times with factories
· * Oversee product sampling, quality control, and order follow-up
· * Work with freight forwarders and brokers to ensure smooth import processes
· * Maintain and update HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes for imported products
· * Monitor production timelines and communicate updates with internal teams
· * Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
Qualifications:
· * 3 years of experience sourcing from overseas factories (China, India, Vietnam, etc.)
· * Solid understanding of import/export procedures and international logistics
· * Experience working with HTS codes and customs documentation
· * Strong negotiation and communication skills
· * High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
· * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and sourcing platforms.
3 years Management experience
Preferred Experience:
· * Background in supply chain management, purchasing, product development, international logistics
· * Familiarity with quality inspection processes and product compliance standards
