What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-House Landlord-Tenant Attorney position at Grinberg Management & Dev LLC?
Grinberg Management, a family-owned firm managing approximately 350 residential properties across Staten Island, is hiring its first in-house attorney to run our landlord-tenant docket.
Virtually all matters are in Richmond County. Your practice would be at 927 Castleton Avenue, minutes from our Port Richmond office. One client, no billable hours, no borough-hopping. If you live on Staten Island and commute to Manhattan or Brooklyn, this role hands you back two hours a day.
The work:
- Nonpayment and holdover proceedings, start to finish
- Section 8 / NYCHA / HPD subsidy matters, including recovery of unpaid subsidies
- OATH/ECB and DOB/HPD violation defense
- Collections and money judgments
The support:
Our office handles the entire pre-petition process in-house, including late notices, NYCHA eviction certifications, rent demands and good cause notices, and process service. You receive a complete, service-ready file for every case: lease, ledger, subsidy documents, and affidavit of service. You practice law; we handle the paperwork pipeline.
Requirements:
- New York bar admission
- Landlord-tenant or general litigation experience (landlord-side or tenant-side both welcome)
- Comfort with a high-volume docket across multiple LLC entities
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
