Griffiss Surgery Center is looking for motivated candidates who have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. GSC is the premier, state-of-the-art Surgical Services facility in the Mohawk Valley. Located in Rome, New York, our facility provides world class multi-specialty services including Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Podiatry, Urology, and Plastic Surgical Services to all of Central New York. Since first opening in 2012, our facility continues to grow each year, expanding our facilities capabilities and leveraging cutting edge technology to bring the most innovative surgery solutions, to our region. Our Radiology Technologist would primarily assist in Urology cases.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, utilizing C-ARM
- Position patients correctly and ensure their comfort during imaging procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and safety
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret and analyze imaging results
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Proficiency in performing X-rays via C-ARM
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, i.e. Ambulatory Surgical Center
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff
