What are the responsibilities and job description for the UiPath Technical PM position at Gridiron IT?
GridironIT is seeking a candidate who will own the strategy, delivery, and governance of high-impact, multi-year Robotic Process Automation (RPA) programs utilizing the UiPath platform for our key Federal government client, the Department of Treasury. This role requires an expert balance of technical understanding, Federal sector program leadership, and executive stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Lead the overall execution and success of multi-year, complex software implementation programs, ensuring alignment with the Federal client’s strategic IT and mission objectives.
- Team Management: Direct and manage large, cross-functional program teams (15 resources), including RPA developers, architects, business analysts, and customer success specialists.
- Delivery Governance: Define and enforce program governance, delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), quality standards, and compliance with Federal system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Budget & Resource Management: Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and forecasting across all related projects to ensure efficient use of client funds and team capacity.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks, issues, and dependencies, especially those unique to the Federal environment (e.g., security controls, Authority to Operate (ATO) processes).
- Executive Alignment: Serve as the primary trusted advisor and interface between the delivery teams and senior client stakeholders at the Department of Treasury.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal UiPath Account Executives, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to manage client expectations, drive product adoption, and ensure a unified account strategy.
- Value Realization: Define and communicate clear, measurable business value and Return on Investment (ROI) derived from the RPA solutions, translating technical achievements into executive-level business outcomes.
Requirements:
- Public Trust Background Check (REQUIRED)
- 2 experiences leading multi-year software implementation programs with the Federal government
- 2 experiences leading implementation / software development programs with 15 resources on the team
- Experience at software companies coordinating across account executives, product management, customer success, and implementation / development / professional services teams
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification
- Must be willing to travel approximately 25% of the time. Expectation is one week a month on-site (either McLean or Virginia Beach) and one week a quarter in Virginia Beach
- Must be US Citizen
Preferred:
- Local to DC/MD/Northern VA area
- Experience with UiPath, or experience with other complex software implementations such as SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce, cloud infrastructure providers
- Experience working with Federal government, Department of Treasury preferred

Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
