What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Applied Research Engineer (Agentic AI) position at Greylock Partners?
Summary:
Seed startup with 100 employees (company valued $XXXM already) is looking to continue to build out their ML team (already staffed with multiple ARS from GDM). This company already has a lot of momentum in the market and has closed large enterprise deals with notable F500 customers.
Our target profile will have 5 years relevant industry experience with hands-on experience in Generative AI / LLM's with a strong passion to push SOTA in AI at scale. Prior industry/research exp in RL (GRPO, etc.) or AI Codegen is a strong plus!
Qualifications:
- LLM Frameworks: Demonstrated expertise working with Large Language Models such as OpenAI’s GPT series--including model integration, customization, and optimization within diverse applications.
- LLM Fine-Tuning and Transfer Learning: Proven experience in fine-tuning LLMs for specific tasks or industries, including the use of transfer learning techniques to adapt pre-trained models to new domains or requirements.
- Data Handling Skills: Proficiency in handling, processing, and analyzing large datasets. Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques and tools (e.g., Pandas in Python) is crucial.
