This is not a role for a career manager.
The ideal candidate spent most of their career building backend, infrastructure, platform, or AI systems and is now ready to take on significantly broader organizational responsibility.
The company has assembled an exceptional early team and is reaching a point where engineering leadership becomes a force multiplier. They're looking for someone who can help scale both the technology and the organization while maintaining a high bar for technical quality and talent.
Many of the strongest candidates will likely be Engineering Managers, Senior Engineering Managers, or Staff engineers with prior management experience. We're not looking for overly-qualified candidates who are already Directors of Vice Presidents.

- Organizational design and leadership development
- Technical direction and architectural decision-making
- Engineering execution and delivery
- Building systems and teams that scale together
You'll work closely with the founders on both organizational and technical questions, helping shape how the company evolves over the coming years.
What We're Looking For
You likely have experience:
- Building backend, infrastructure, platform, distributed, or AI systems
- Leading highly technical engineering teams
- Hiring and developing strong engineers (very high bar)
- Driving important technical decisions
- Operating in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
- Maintaining high standards for engineering quality
We're less interested in titles than we are in technical credibility, leadership ability, judgment, and trajectory.
