Duties
- Assist with the preparation of concrete forms, rebar installation, and setting up for pouring operations
- Operate hand tools and power tools to smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces
- Support the pouring of concrete using mixers and pumps to ensure proper consistency and placement
- Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, edging, brooming, and sealing concrete surfaces to achieve desired textures and finishes
- Help with site cleanup, material handling, heavy lifting, and maintaining a safe work environment
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry, or renovation projects is preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete finishing and site preparation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for construction projects
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites; willingness to learn OSHA standards
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is a plus but not required
